About the Role: You will report to and support the Technical Director in maintaining the technical integrity, relevance, and professional credibility of the CGMA Professional Qualification and related qualifications portfolio. You will combine technical research with project and process coordination to support the planning and delivery of technical programmes across the qualification. This includes monitoring developments in professional practice, regulation, technology and industry, and translating these insights into practical updates to syllabi, blueprints, and supporting qualification materials. You will use a hybrid work schedule.
You Will:
- Conduct technical and professional research to support updates to the CGMA Professional Qualification.
- Monitor developments in professional practice, regulation, accounting standards, and frameworks, technology and sustainability identifying possible effects for qualification content.
- Analyse new developments and translate technical findings into clear, structured outputs for use by qualification development teams.
- Prepare updated technical content documentation following agreed direction and governance, to support decision-making and discussions across qualification development teams.
- Coordinate and support technical content updates and related activities across the CGMA Professional Qualification, ensuring agreement on development priorities and timelines.
- Support the planning and scheduling of technical updates, ensuring the team complete work following agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate the delivery of assigned technical updates and content changes, ensuring you produce outputs to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Support the Technical Director – PQ in coordinating technical inputs across workshops, development activities and review cycles.
- Draft and update technical content documentation including syllabi, blueprints, curricula, and related qualification products for review.
- Help prepare technical documentation, consultation materials and internal briefings relating to qualification updates.
- Work with qualification design, assessment, and learning colleagues to support use of technical content.
- Respond to routine internal technical queries, escalating complex or contentious issues.
You Have:
- CGMA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification, or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- 3–6 years' experience in management accounting, finance, or a related professional field.
- Experience with the management accounting profession and its application in practice.
- Experience analysing technical or regulatory information and producing clear written outputs.
- Experience coordinating projects or workstreams within a technical environment.
