About the Role:

You will be part of the Europe Events team providing complete events management, delivering webinars and collaborating on internal projects. This activity engages with members and students throughout the UK, provides members with ongoing CPD and supports the goals of the organisation. You'll report to the Associate Manager - Events and use a hybrid work schedule.

You Will:

  • Delivery important global member engagement programmes, including ENGAGE UK & Europe, Women's Summit, CGMA Leadership Academy, President's Conference, and RISE 2040. This will include producing the central events programme, speaker sourcing and liaison, venue search, event management, and negotiation of rates, writing promotional collateral, advertising and acting on feedback.
  • Manage the budget including the development of a central events budget, management of event expenditure/income and working within a set budget. Take ownership of the accounts payable/receivable process for the allocated events and report the financial position to the Associate Manager on a monthly basis.
  • Manage ongoing engagement with members on ENGAGE 365 communities
  • Manage and host all commercial activity, working with the Account Manager – UK Sponsorship to achieve this.
  • Oversee the CIMA Canada events programme, collaborating with the CIMA Canada Board. This will include event management, speaker liaison, writing promotional collateral, advertising and acting on feedback.
  • Attend up to four UK and Ireland Network Committee meetings annually and provide an update on central event activities.
  • Manage relationships between CIMA and its local volunteer network.
  • Manage the social media promotion for all central events.
  • Input CMS web information, including creation of promotional emails that follow brand guidelines.
  • Work with third parties and sponsors to organise and deliver events. Negotiate with agents to ensure cost-effective options for events expenditure.
  • Manage and host virtual activity, including speaker sourcing and liaison, virtual event management, writing promotional collateral, advertising and acting on feedback.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years' related events management experience
