This forward-thinking organisation is seeking a Project Accountant to join their Shropshire-based team on a permanent basis. Your new role
This is a varied and engaging position where you\’ll act as a Business Partner to the Projects team, collaborating closely with senior financial leadership. You\’ll play a key role in monthly project reporting and oversee the financial operations across multiple initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering accurate and insightful month-end reporting to project stakeholders
- Ensure all reporting deadlines and requirements are met, including:
- Budget preparation aligned with cost allocations and mapping
- Compliance with internal control procedures
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual project reporting
- Oversee day-to-day financial management of projects
- Support risk and opportunity assessments through matrix analysis
- Prepare and monitor project cashflows
- Conduct variance analysis and cost tracking
- Develop and maintain project forecasts
- Manage internal and external audits related to project finances
What you\’ll need to succeed
- Part-qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent; or qualified by experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong analytical and logical thinking
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities
