The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Your new company: You will work for a successful music merchandising, tour, design and production business, based in their London office (N7).
Your new role: You will work within a small finance team of five people, reporting to the FD. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Management of band settlements for the UK, EU, and US, collaborating with and providing guidance to the client managers, providing advice on deals, settlements and VAT issues.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns for all European regions.
- Management of quarterly entertainer/sportsperson payments (FEU returns) and address any withholding tax (WHT) issues.
- Reconciliation of tour accounts/ledgers.
- Improving/streamlining existing systems and processes.
- Providing assistance to the FD with reporting, year-end, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Providing reporting support for the online store.
What you’ll need to succeed: Recent, relevant experience working in a similar Accountant role. Experience working within a similar industry sector i.e. Music/Merchandising. Previous experience in process/system streamlining and implementation. Current processes are largely manual, so you’ll be involved in the automation of processes, as well as system migration from Sage 50 (new system to be defined). Immediate availability or short notice is highly advantageous.
What you’ll get in return: In addition to a competitive salary, you will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus (paid twice yearly). Other benefits include 20 days’ annual leave plus an extended Christmas shut-down period (usually 2-3 weeks) for which you do not need to use any of your annual leave entitlement, pension, and company socials. Due to the nature of the business, you will also receive free tickets to gigs/events!
