Employment opportunity at Olds Mountain View Christian School (OMVCS). We are a small rural Christian school located in Harmattan, Alberta, serving students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. As an Alberta-accredited independent school, we teach the Alberta Program of Studies using a combination of individualized student-guided Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) and teacher-led classes.
We are seeking a committed Christian educator who has a heart for serving students and desires to partner with families in providing Christ-centred education. The successful candidate will demonstrate spiritual maturity, a love for children, and a willingness to serve in a variety of teaching roles within our school community.
Full‑Time Teaching Position
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Please note: ACE training in Calgary is required August 24–28, 2026. Training costs will be covered by the school.
Position Responsibilities:
- Teach a Grade 1 classroom program
- Teach Physical Education classes
- Provide academic support and assistance to students across Grades 1–12
- Foster a positive, caring, and Christ-centred learning environment
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and administration to support student success
Qualifications:
- Alberta teaching certification, or currently completing the final practicum toward certification
- A clear Christian testimony and lifestyle consistent with Biblical principles
- A heart for Christian education and discipleship of students
- Ability to connect with and support students of varying ages and abilities
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Agrees to and adheres to our school’s Statement of Faith
