We are seeking to recruit a Committee Services Officer, working in a small but busy team responsible for supporting the administration of Council committees, Local Government Reorganisation, aiding Councillors and assisting with Elections.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- You will support meetings of the Council as directed by the Committee Services Manager or the relevant Committee Services Team Leader.
- Duties will include preparing agendas, reports and minutes, attending Council meetings, including evening meetings, and assisting the Chair/Members, providing advice as appropriate.
- The role will also support the provision and development of Member Services, including training, outside bodies, parish matters.
- Collation of information for Freedom of Information requests is also part of the role.
- This position is a politically restricted post and you may be required to work outside of normal working hours.

- To be able to stay calm under pressure as you will be dealing with elected members on a regular basis and will be handling information of a very sensitive nature requiring diplomacy and discretion.
