Bibby Financial Services have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable Head of Finance to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, offering a competitive salary.
About The Role
As our Head of Finance, you will have overall responsibility for leading the Finance and Procurement teams across the group. You will manage, drive and report on the Group's financial performance by establishing financial policies, ensuring adequate financial controls are in place and directing planning.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the Executive / Board to preserve the integrity of BFS's operating model and ensure the group maintains appropriate financial performance metrics.
- Develop a deep understanding of the core businesses within the group and key drivers of their business performance, allowing appropriate challenge to ensure targets are achieved.
- Lead annual budget & operation planning process.
- Ensure high quality, right first-time financial reporting, providing appropriate regular reports to the Board / Exco on financial and operating data including interpretations and recommendations, forecasting, and all relevant information on business conditions which contribute to the company's operating circumstances.
- Establish and direct financial policies for the company and ensure they are adhered to.
- Providing leadership & strategic direction to the Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis & Financial Control teams.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-calibre employees aligning to budgetary & headcount requirements.
- Coaching, mentoring & supporting colleague career development for direct reports & wider finance teams.
Qualifications
- Fully Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant / relevant financial services or relevant sector experience.
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis).
- Experience in risk management & compliance.
- Proven ability to lead & manage a team efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal & communications skills.
- The ability to influence & build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels & functions.
- Experience with financial systems, controls & audit processes.
