Kings Opticians & Audiologists in Reepham are looking for a part time dispensing optician to join our friendly independent practice. At Kings, we pride ourselves on offering a relaxed, patient focused experience with longer appointment times, high quality eyewear and genuinely personal care. We are a family run independent practice with a strong reputation locally for both optometry and audiology services.

This role would suit somebody with previous optical experience, or experience within a similar customer focused healthcare or retail environment with willingness to learn. As a small team, everybody helps with all aspects of the patient journey including reception, bookings, dispensing support, frame styling, pre-screening and general day to day practice duties. At times you may be working alongside just the Optometrist or Audiologist, so confidence, initiative and the ability to multitask are important.

Responsibilities
  • Support the patient journey across reception, bookings, dispensing, frame styling and pre-screening.
  • Work alongside the Optometrist or Audiologist as needed, providing multitasked support.
  • Deliver a relaxed, patient focused experience with longer appointment times.

Typical hours Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break. No regular weekend working, although occasional Saturday morning holiday cover may be required.

Requirements

We are looking for somebody who is kind, dependable, enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. This role suits someone with previous optical experience or experience in a similar customer focused healthcare or retail environment with willingness to learn.

Pay: £18.50 per hour
