Robert Callander Eyewear has been a boutique practice for 25 years, specialising in high‑quality German and Japanese lenses and 3D digital measurement. We run a small team of three members and focus on a select range of independent, small‑batch frames.

As Dispensing Manager you will act as a shop owner, handling all aspects of sales, dispensing individualised lenses in buffalo horn frames, customer service, and day‑to‑day shop operations – including coffee service, floor mopping, stock control, and administrative duties. You will not be expected to perform clinical optometry tasks or provide CL services. Initial training will cover professional sales and service, after which you will gradually take the lead of the practice under the current owner’s mentorship.

Responsibilities
  • Dispense customised lenses and frames to customers
  • Provide excellent customer service and sales support
  • Manage shop floor operations, stock control, and minor maintenance
  • Perform administrative tasks such as record keeping and reporting
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of eyewear products and trends
Qualifications
  • Experience in optical dispensing or a related retail role
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage shop operations and support staff
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of the practice
Salary and Benefits

Salary: approx. £30,000 with structured bonus up to £18,000

Location and Hours

Linlithgow – Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 to 5:30
