Responsibilities:

  • Professional dispensing: carry out routine and complex dispensing of spectacles.
  • Measurements: take frame measurements to ensure correct lens centration and fit.
  • Frame styling & advice: assist patients with frame and lens selection.
  • Fitting & adjustments: adjust and repair frames at the time of dispensing or collection to ensure comfort and vision.
  • Patient education: explain lens options, educate patients on eyewear care, and handle common eye condition queries.
  • Operational tasks: order products from laboratories, maintain accurate patient records and perform administrative duties.
  • Support opticians in the patient journey and supervise or train assistants within the practice.

Salary & Benefits: From £28,500 depending on experience + professional fees paid.

Working Hours: Mon‑Fri 9am‑5.30pm, Saturdays 9‑5pm, closed Sundays and bank holidays.
