As Head of High Value Partnerships, you will shape our high-value fundraising strategy, lead a talented team, and drive significant income growth across corporate partnerships, major donors, and trusts and foundations. This is a pivotal opportunity to secure transformational support that funds vital research and services for people living with and affected by MND.
As Head of High Value Partnerships, you will lead a talented team to deliver ambitious income targets and build strong, long-term relationships. You will bring a confident, collaborative approach and a proven track record of growing income.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-value stewardship events by working with the team, the Income Generation Directorate,and the rest of the organisation.
- Lead and grow financial and non-financial support from high-value partners, including corporate partners, high net worth individuals, trusts, and statutory funders.
- Conceive, develop, and manage approaches and products designed to engage high net worth individuals and corporate supporters.
- Develop bids and tenders to statutory, trust, and other funders, working with relevant teams to ensure coordinated approaches and objectives.
- Monitor and analyse fundraising performance across all high-value streams, identifying trends and opportunities for growth, and provide reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead, develop, and build a high-performing and collaborative team, championing organisational values, and ensuring effective financial management.
- Operate as a full member of relevant management teams and as a senior leader for the organisation.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization, including services, partnerships and research teams, finance, and communications, to ensure integrated fundraising efforts.
- Work with the Executive Leadership team and trustees to ensure appropriate levels of engagement and stewardship of partners, funders, and donors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations and best practices.
- Undertake any other task relevant to the job purpose and ensure that all functions performed reflect the Association\’s mission and core values.
- Demonstrable record of growing income and providing excellent stewardship in at least two of the following areas: corporate partnerships, major gifts, and trusts/foundations.
- Personal expertise weighted towards corporate and major donor fundraising is highly desirable.
- Strong experience leading and developing high-performing teams, particularly through times of change, with an enabling leadership style that sets the team up for success.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to act as an inspirational example for the team and external partners, and to adopt a diplomatic, solutions-focused approach to identify and overcome barriers.
- Relationship-focused fundraiser with excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills, capable of building rapport and influencing effectively across diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, actively seeking co-creation opportunities.
- Strong strategic planning and financial acumen, including the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions across multiple income streams.
- Results-driven and innovative approach to fundraising, with a demonstrable track record of achieving growth within personal and team portfolios.
- Dynamic, entrepreneurial individual comfortable working with ambiguity and change as the organisation enters a new phase of growth.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively, and proficiency in using CRM databases and other fundraising software.
