Term: Fixed Term Contract (2 years)

Location: Hybrid working in place, 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.

We have two exciting fixed‑term opportunities available within our Products and Services team. These roles are ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, collaborative and passionate about developing high‑quality qualifications and assessments. You’ll work closely with colleagues and subject experts to create engaging, industry‑relevant materials, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance. This is a fast‑paced, rewarding environment where innovation, precision and impact go hand in hand.

What exactly will you be doing?

As a Qualification and Assessment Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing high‑quality qualifications and assessments that meet the needs of students, employers and training providers. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), regulators and internal teams, you will ensure our qualifications are valid, reliable and aligned with industry standards. You will be part of a team that champions excellence in qualification and assessment design, helping AAT deliver engaging and effective learning experiences that support career progression and professional growth.

Major objectives

  • Manage the development of qualification units and assessments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external SMEs to produce high‑quality materials aligned with product specifications.
  • Edit and review assessment content to ensure clarity, consistency and adherence to house style.
  • Support the training of SMEs and ensuring compliance with assessment design principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare materials for accreditation and responding to feedback from regulators and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in qualifications and assessment development.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with external contributors such as SMEs and suppliers.
  • A collaborative, customer‑focused approach with a commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks (desirable).
  • Experience with assessment technology or working in a professional body (desirable).
  • Experience of teaching (desirable).
