Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.

We’re looking for a detail‑focused, analytically minded and collaborative Assistant Management Accountant who is passionate about delivering high‑quality financial insight and supporting effective decision‑making.

What exactly will you be doing?

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, analysis and control of operational costs across the organisation. Working closely with the Finance Business Partnering team and budget holders, you’ll provide meaningful cost insights that support planning, performance and efficiency. This role offers excellent exposure to management accounting and business partnering, making it ideal for a part‑qualified accountant looking to continue developing their professional career in a supportive and purpose‑led environment. You will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, deliver variance analysis, and support the business with clear, actionable financial information, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Major objectives

  • Produce accurate and insightful cost reporting to support effective cost control and informed decision‑making
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial planning
  • Build strong relationships with budget holders to review performance, risks and opportunities
  • Ensure all expenditure is recorded and reported in line with accounting standards and controls
  • Provide clear financial analysis and insight to support business initiatives and efficiency improvements
  • Contribute to audit processes by preparing supporting schedules and responding to auditor queries
  • Maintain robust financial controls and support continuous improvement in processes and reporting

What are we looking for?

  • Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong foundation in management accounting principles
  • Experience in cost reporting, analysis and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights to non‑finance stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • A customer‑focused approach and a drive to deliver value‑adding financial support
