Job Role Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Member Engagement and Advocacy Manager to join our Influence and Advocacy team on a Maternity cover basis.
The successful candidate will contribute to improved membership retention through targeted face-to-face (in-person or digital) and verbal campaigns and initiatives.
You will strengthen APM’s influence and advocacy by engaging and mobilising members, Fellows, students and early-career professionals as ambassadors for the profession.
The role leads targeted, insight-driven engagement programmes that improve retention and support the organisation’s wider policy and thought leadership objectives.

Experience and knowledge
- Experience in membership recruitment and retention activity
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and at all levels
- Experience of using and reporting in CRM systems
- Business and financial acumen
- Commercial awareness

- Excellent relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and CRM tools

Main benefits at APM
- 25 days holiday (excluding all public holidays). This increases after four years’ service.
