A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Engineer you will define, support and drive the project/work packages for the assigned Design Engineers on all equipment design and specifications. You will work alongside the Technical Lead Engineer and the Procurement Officer on all subcontractor and supplier packages as well as handle subcontractors/suppliers packages through delivery up to handover.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead Engineer, Procurement Officer, and Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager on assigned projects/work packages.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier packages, ensuring effective communication and coordination from delivery to handover.
- Ensure all technical, procurement, and quality information is available for factory acceptance tests and attend as needed.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor performance for effectiveness and compliance.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, variations, and opportunities, working closely with the Project Manager.
- Assist in preparing Monthly Progress Reports for internal and external stakeholders and communicate procurement information for Quality Assurance Plans to the Procurement team.
- Support customer meetings by addressing discussions, technical queries, and design risks related to assigned work packages.
What You Bring
- Project Engineering experience in the Transmission and Distribution industry.
- Understanding of Transmission and Distribution standards and technologies.
- Knowledge of Substation Primary and Secondary Systems.
- Familiarity with current Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations.
- Understanding of Risk Management processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
