Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Translate stakeholder requests into structured reporting solutions using Databricks and Power BI.
- Collaborate with data engineers to define, test, and iterate on datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Scope and design data models to support reporting needs, aligning with established data engineering frameworks.
- Implement lightweight data validation and testing processes to ensure trust in reporting outputs.
- Use version control (e.g., Git) to manage SQL and reporting logic, enabling collaboration, traceability, and change management.
- Drive the evolution of self-serve analytics by improving the self-serve cube and developing intuitive, stakeholder-friendly exploration tools in Databricks.
- Partner with teams to identify reporting gaps and propose improvements.
- Contribute to the development of a reporting framework that supports AI/BI integration and scalable insights delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets in Databricks or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing analytics code.
- Demonstrated ability to debug data issues and implement quality assurance processes.
- Experience collaborating with data engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with telemetry data and reporting in live service environments is a plus.
