This is an exciting opportunity to join Associated Security Solutions, a successful company specialising in the manufacture, distribution and installation of physical security solutions. Due to rapid growth in the Southeast we are looking to add to our existing Thurrock based team.
In addition to a good basic salary, you will have the opportunity to earn overtime and company bonuses. You will also benefit from 20 days (+ 8 statutory days) annual holiday with a time served accrual system, job specific training, and our pension scheme.
The primary role will be refurbishing second hand safes, alongside some bench locksmithing, general warehousing work, and other duties as required. The role could suit a field safe engineer who is now looking to work from a single location, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Daily duties will include:
- Opening locked safes
- Sanding, filling, and painting of second-hand safes
- Fitting safe locks
- Final assembly of refurbished products
- Cutting keys
- General warehousing work
- Use of a forklift truck
- Occasional local deliveries
Working independently but within part of a small team, the work may involve moving heavy items, so you will need to be able to work safely. Some previous experience of working with safes is preferred, but training can be provided for candidates who are familiar with bodywork repairs and spray-painting processes.
To be successful, you must:
- Have body shop, spray-painting or similar experience (experience of working with safes is preferred but not essential)
- Have ability and willingness to learn new skills
- Be able to move heavy or large goods
- Have a high level of safety consciousness
- Be able to overcome unexpected hurdles and solve problems
- Provide tidy, clean workmanship
- Have a full UK driving licence
