Here at AIS, we are looking for a Head of Event Marketing & Communications to build on a strong legacy and lead the next chapter for our INDX portfolio of tradeshows. This is a great role for someone who likes to create standout event experiences, has an interest in home and fashion retail and wants to play a role in supporting independent retail.

You will lead marketing and communications strategy, drive visitor and exhibitor engagement, respond to evolving media trends and help shape what’s next for tradeshows, ensuring we stay one step ahead and driving commercial results. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary, depending on experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the Company’s event marketing strategy, including planning, organising, and managing all aspects of marketing for company events, including large-scale trade shows.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Development to create and execute event marketing campaigns that generate leads, drive traffic to register as well as increase brand awareness of INDX and Cranmore Park as a venue.
  • Oversee brand/creative development of INDX brand including creative management, using preferred suppliers and in alignment with AIS Brand Hierarchy.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Development and the Director of Events to oversee the experiential look and feel of events produced by AIS.
  • Lead on all social media and coordinate digital marketing content for INDX and Cranmore Park to build brand engagement and maximise return for AIS trade shows, Cranmore Park.
  • Grow stakeholder engagement with INDX events, encouraging members to make use of the Hub to access key insights and communication.
  • Create a Mailchimp administration process and service for other areas of Marketing.
  • Ensure INDX data is accurate and managed effectively in line with company policy and data protection requirements.
  • Support as necessary major AIS activity such as product launches, conferences, strategy days, trade shows and major Cranmore Park marketing support.
Experience
  • Strong experience in marketing a variety of event types, such as trade shows, conferences, and product launches.
  • Strong understanding of event planning.
  • Proven track record of success in event marketing.
Personal Attributes, Skills & Behaviours
  • Strong understanding of the fashion, home and leisure sector.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing event marketing strategies.
  • Passion for social media and digital marketing, and knowledge of the latest technology.
  • Excellent communication skills both externally and at all levels in the company.
  • Skilled in writing engaging copy with strengths in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • Competency using and understanding a range of social media platforms, Microsoft Viva Engage and SharePoint.
  • Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • An understanding of SEO and relevance on content creation advantageous.
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continuously improve.
  • Ability to get things done and improvise as required with a 'can do' attitude.
  • A confident communicator, who retains a high level of professionalism.
  • A true team player, who is willing to support the wider Marketing team and acts with the Company’s best interests.
