Role
Role: Port Operative Tier 2 – Weighbridge / Admin Support
Location: Humber Region (primarily HFT, covering IBPE & IFT weighbridges)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Port Operative Tier 2 to join our team at the Humber Fertiliser Terminals. This role plays a key part in managing the movement of cargo in and out of the terminal using our Terminal Operating System (TOS), as well as supporting stock control and weighbridge operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and book all haulage movements for daily collections and bulk vessel contracts.
- Manage all weighbridge activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Act as the first point of contact for hauliers and customers, escalating issues where necessary.
- Operate and maintain IT systems to process collections/deliveries, generate reports, and audit cargo movements.
- Conduct site walk rounds and maintain accurate stock location records.
- Control and record terminal access during standard operating hours.
- Communicate terminal safety protocols to all visitors and test emergency systems as required.
- Support document control, including reviewing, sending, and archiving delivery notes and permits.
- Ensure audit readiness by maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
- Monitor personnel movements on site and validate access permissions.
