We've recently restructured our senior engineering management team across the Humber to facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) works across the region and support our continued business growth. Within this region, we operate four ports: Hull & Goole on the North Bank and Immingham & Grimsby on the South Bank. One of our key terminals within Immingham is our HIT (Humber International Terminal) which processes a wide range of Biomass and Coal moving it from vessel to silo via a complex conveyor system.

We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager, ideally from a process industry background, who can push the team forward to ensure high levels of operation across the terminal. You'll need to be qualified to a minimum of HNC level, ideally educated to degree level, and will need to have experience of change management and CI activity within the heavy process engineering sector (mining, material handling, recycling, chemicals). With 4 direct reports, and an overall team of around 40, you should be able to demonstrate a track record of ensuring increased output and operational capabilities driven by specific measures the engineering team have undertaken.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified to HNC/HND or higher in relevant Engineering discipline - ideally chartered engineer or working towards.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance and reliability management in a management/leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and strong team management skills.
  • Proficiency in asset management and data systems - including reporting and CMMS management.
  • Experience of continuous improvement and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with a growth mindset.
  • Budgetary Awareness.
  • A good understanding of safe working practices and HSE legislation.
