Duration: 2 Months (Summer Placement)

Join our team at ABP in King's Lynn as a Summer Silo Operative and play a key role in the grain handling process during the busy harvest season.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sample and test Agri bulk products to customer requirements using scientific laboratory equipment.
  • Log and report test results accurately.
  • Manage and maintain stock control systems to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with AIC procedures and regulations.
  • Liaise with customers daily to implement their storage and quality requirements.
  • Support store management for customer grain.
  • Report any defects, unsafe practices, or damages promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, Risk Assessments, and ABP policies.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, colleagues, and lorry drivers.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the line manager.

  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • No prior experience required – full training provided.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours/week)

Break: 30-minute unpaid break daily.
