Due to a pending retirement we’re looking to recruit an experienced Stores Supervisor to take over the overall running of our Engineering Stores in the Humber region. Managing a team of 4 who oversee a stock holding of PPE, Engineering components and fastenings, motors and parts split across both Hull and Immingham. The role will involve travel across all 4 ports and at least one day per week will be spent in Hull. You should have prior knowledge of a tablet based stock management system and CMMS (ideally Mainsaver or SAP), as well as a high level of competence with MS Office suite of tools.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Receive, issue and store goods safely within the store’s environment, including plant and materials, to maintain port operations.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and correspond with all relevant documentation. Document all changes.
  • Undertake and review safe systems of work relating to the stores environment.
  • Ensure all relevant product data sheets (COSHH) are maintained and issued as required.
  • Liaise with the engineering dept on matters relating to both availability and stocking levels.
  • Continual stock check on all items along with parts obsolescence checks.

Experience & Skills:

  • Must have a good knowledge of inventory control.
  • Must possess good organisational skills and be able to work under their own initiative.
  • The ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible working hours sometimes required.
  • Highly computer literate and with excellent communication skills.
  • A basic engineering knowledge would be an advantage.
  • A sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation with experience of driving forward safety initiatives, audits and compliance.
  • Service and Customer driven with good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Pro‑active approach with sound organisational and motivational skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence - ideally with a FLT Licence.
