We're currently looking to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer to act as a technical advisor within our engineering function in the Humber region. Ideally based out of Immingham but covering all 4 ports in the region, you will need to have a strong heavy commercial or industrial background with exposure to project delivery. The role will act as a Subject Matter Expert across the Humber region working alongside our projects, commercial and property teams to advise and guide requirements across the region. You should have exposure to reviewing tenders, managing subcontractors and working proactively to find solutions. Recent project examples include the electrification of lanes within our container terminals in order to enable use of electric cranes.

Accountabilities

  • Support in the development, management and use of Safe Systems of Works and ensure they are periodically reviewed, updated and or revised as necessary due to changes in working methods and or the introduction of new regulations.
  • Keep up to date with all safety regulations and new technical innovations to provide advice and support to the Engineering Department.
  • Assist in the co-ordination and delivery of a range of works throughout the electrical engineering department to include both projects and maintenance ensuring engineering works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, company policies and procedures in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide guidance and support for day-to-day electrical engineering problems and develop long-term solutions for a variety of engineering applications in line with operational and budgetary constraints.
  • Identify and prepare cost estimates for both present and future electrical engineering works.
  • Preparation of tender documentation and contract administration in line with company policies and procedures, agreed specifications and timescales.
  • Liaise with property and commercial teams to assist in developing engineering solutions from initial concept through to delivery.
