We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Engineering Team Leader to join our bakery in Stoke. In this role, you’ll lead your shift team on the front line, driving both proactive and reactive maintenance across our plant and site services. You’ll play a key part in keeping a major bakery operation running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Safety is always first at Allied Bakeries, so we are looking for someone to lead by example in ensuring that Health and Safety is our number one priority, and someone who can engage others to always think and behave safely.
  • Focusing on safe working practices and site performance KPI’s including OEE and CCOs.
  • Diagnosing and correcting automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations.
  • Ensuring our engineering strategy is delivered consistently.
  • Delivering turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Driving the performance of the Engineering function forward through effective team leadership on shift, setting the standards and developing the Engineers.

What We're Looking For

  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to train, coach and assist operators and other engineers.
  • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an electrical, automation or multiskilled engineering discipline is desirable, supported by suitable experience.
  • An enthusiastic and motivated individual, with a passion for continuous improvement, you will be flexible and co-operative to meet business needs.
