Our client seeks an experienced HR Case Manager to manage complex ER cases, including conduct, capability, investigations and hearings. The role is field based with nationwide travel. Candidates must have strong UK employment law knowledge, proven case-management experience and a full UK driving licence.
The HR Case Manager will deliver a proactive, expert HR advisory service to managers across the business, supporting complex people matters including serious conduct, capability, employee concerns, suspensions, investigations and hearings. They will manage a varied caseload, provide clear guidance aligned to policy and UK employment law, and coach managers to build capability and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice via phone and written communication.
- Support managers with complex ER cases, investigations and hearings.
- Review reports, prepare letters and ensure accurate case documentation.
- Build strong relationships across HR and wider stakeholders.
- Offer pragmatic, commercially aware HR solutions.
- Deliver face-to-face support for hearings and appeals nationwide.
- Coach managers in communication, fairness, consistency and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records on the Case Management System.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience managing complex HR/ER cases.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Confident communicator able to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- CIPD Level 7 ideal.
- Commercial, pragmatic approach to HR risk.
- Strong coaching capability and analytical skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
