We are recruiting an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to support the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programmes across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a passion for developing people at all levels. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the site’s capability strategy, coordinating training plans, supporting onboarding, and ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and operational standards. This is a hands-on role with daily interaction across production, technical, HR and senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver site training programmes including inductions, skills training, refresher courses and compliance modules.
  • Support the development of training materials, SOPs and competency frameworks aligned with L&D best practice.
  • Maintain accurate training records, matrices and documentation for audit readiness.
  • Work closely with managers to identify training needs and capability gaps.
  • Support onboarding processes for new starters, ensuring a smooth and engaging introduction to the business.
  • Assist with coaching, mentoring and development pathways for operational staff.
  • Ensure training content aligns with GMP, food safety, allergen control and H&S requirements.
  • Coordinate external training providers and accredited programmes where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in a Learning & Development, Training, HR or operational capability role within FMCG, food manufacturing or similar.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with confidence delivering training to groups.
  • Knowledge of training coordination, competency frameworks and learning styles.
  • Understanding of food safety, GMP or H&S compliance (advantageous but not essential).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all levels.
  • A proactive, supportive and people-focused approach to development.
