Air Conditioning Contracts Manager .

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected business with a substantial UK estate, taking ownership of air conditioning maintenance, compliance and project delivery across a diverse property portfolio.

This is a strategic and operational role, ideal for someone who enjoys building strong contractor relationships, driving service excellence and ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards.

The Role

Reporting into the Property & Facilities team, you'll be responsible for the delivery and performance of all air conditioning services across the estate, ensuring statutory compliance, cost control and exceptional service levels.

You'll act as the key interface between the business and external service providers, ensuring planned maintenance, reactive works and capital projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all air conditioning maintenance contracts across the UK estate.
  • Oversee contractor performance against agreed KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Ensure full compliance with F-Gas regulations and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Deliver air conditioning replacement and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
  • Monitor budgets, approve quotations and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Carry out contractor reviews, audits and performance meetings.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Property, Facilities, Operations and Finance.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to store operations whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Analyse maintenance trends and recommend long-term asset management strategies.

About You

We're looking for an experienced contracts or facilities professional with a strong understanding of commercial air conditioning systems and contractor management.

You’ll ideally have

  • Proven experience managing air conditioning maintenance contracts across multiple sites.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Experience within retail, commercial property or multi-site environments.
  • Excellent contractor and supplier management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets.
  • A good understanding of compliance and health & safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
