The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
You will work closely with the Director of Finance & Administration to provide high quality financial management for Headway and to ensure adherence to legislative requirements, statutory deadlines and high professional standards. You will do this by:
- ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded on Exchequer in a timely manner.
- ensuring that all control account reconciliations are completed every month and that any necessary adjustments are made in Exchequer.
- completing the month-end close and preparing the first draft of the monthly management accounts for departments and the consolidated group accounts for presentation to and review by the Director of Finance & Administration.
- providing accurate and timely financial information to assist in management decision making.

- have a professional accountancy qualification.
- have a minimum of five years’ experience working in finance.
- be able to manage your workload and priorities independently.
- have strong communications skills including the ability to explain financial information clearly & patiently to non‑finance staff.
- have strong overall IT skills and the willingness to further develop them.
- be able to work as part of a team supporting and contributing to the overall success of the department and Headway.
