Do you love stories? And are you passionate about communicating about what God is making possible around the world through the global church? BMS World Mission is looking for a Writer in our Communications team to craft the compelling stories we tell our supporters about the work they make possible.

Whether working on print magazines or digital resources, content for churches or our weekly email newsletter, you’ll play a vital part in the story-gathering and story-telling aspects of our major appeals and communications work.

We’re looking for a person who loves building connections through the written word.

And someone who has a care and concern for the people who own the stories we have the privilege to tell. As a confident writer, you’ll be interested in messaging and writing for impact. And you’ll understand how to tailor the stories you hear into content that engages your audience, whether that be a magazine subscriber, first-time donor or church volunteer.

We’re looking for a person who enjoys juggling a variety of tasks in a busy environment and thrives on building relationships both within and outside the organisation. Ideally, you will have experience setting up, conducting and writing up interviews with individuals from international backgrounds and will have played a part in the creation of campaigns or appeals within a charity setting.

If you want your work to make a real difference - both to UK Christians and to communities around the world - we’d love to hear from you.
