Role Summary

Work within Assist Control function to provide 24/7/365 operational response for colleagues, customers, stakeholders, and the emergency services. Have detailed knowledge of customer sites and operational requirements to support optimal service delivery. Utilise multiple systems and applications to deploy resources. Analyse data to identify risks and threats, escalate appropriately, and share intelligence. Collaborate and influence in all directions, both internally and with customers. Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at our customer sites. Effective communication skills and great presentation are crucial when interacting with customers and the public. Being visible, professional, and responsive supports the success of the security function. Identify risks, threats, and hazards and take appropriate action in line with Assignment Instructions and relevant policy to protect the customer’s organisation and reputation. Engage with continuous training and technology as the security environment evolves.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to calls, emails, and alerts in a professional manner, prioritising critical service issues
  • Provide centralised and efficient execution of security processes to support operational delivery
  • Resolve customer and colleague requests in “One Touch”, avoiding unnecessary escalation
  • Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and relevant customer policies
  • Promote confidence through effective decision making and professional standards
  • Plan and schedule security resources with authorised and trained personnel
  • Ensure holidays are planned in an effective manner, not compromising site requirements
  • Ensure Security Colleagues have the appropriate SIA Licencing & Accreditation
  • Deploy service partner resources and seek authorisation as appropriate
  • Complete routine admin processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Provide monitoring and analytics to identify risk and enable effective decision making
  • Provide reporting (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) internally and to our customers as requested
  • Provide Management Information that enables effective use of resources
  • Share intelligence and alerts with the right audience to mitigate risk
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for security systems, applications, and software
  • Maintain the integrity of security systems and applications, ensuring a consistent approach
  • Complete site compliance validation and welfare visits
  • Support recruitment, induction, and new site mobilisation projects
  • Validate and update Assignment Instructions/Risk Assessments
  • Acknowledge and record customer complaints, escalate to the correct audience, and follow up
  • Deter crime and anti-social behaviour through awareness of behaviour and intelligence
  • Report incidents in an accurate and timely manner, following the correct escalation model
  • Collaborate with the Emergency Services, including detection and protection of evidence
  • Support the customer’s brand and culture and follow any reasonable requests

Person Specification

  • SIA Security Guard, Door Supervisor or CCTV licence
  • Experience in control, operational centre environments (Highly Desirable)
