Job Title: 5 Star Hotel Security Officer Location: Central London Reports To: Security Team Leader/ Security Manager/ Head of Security/ Account Manager. Role Summary: The position requires officers to have 5-star hotel security experience, exceptional customer service skills, and to be well-presented at all times. The purpose of the role is to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. Excellent communication skills, a professional appearance, and a positive attitude are crucial when interacting with customers, the public, and emergency services. Visibility, professionalism, and responsiveness support the success of the security function. Security personnel are expected to identify risks that threaten the business and reputation and take appropriate action. Continuous training is required as policies, procedures, and technology evolve in the security environment. Responsibilities: Wear the correct uniform, PPE, SIA Badge, and always be presented clean and smart. Provide excellent customer service and engage positively with every person. Carry out all duties in accordance with the Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessment. Follow relevant customer policies and procedures. Utilise access control systems and ensure the integrity of building perimeter security. Use CCTV, alarm systems, and monitoring tools to detect risks and suspicious activity. Deter crime and anti-social behavior through awareness and intelligence. Test security and safety systems regularly. Perform internal and external patrols as required. Report incidents accurately and promptly, following escalation procedures. Collaborate with Emergency Services, including evidence detection and protection. Support the customer\’s brand and culture and follow reasonable requests. Person Specification: SIA Licence for specific site (Door Supervision) Previous security experience within a 5-star hotel. Conscientious, alert, and detail-oriented. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Punctual, reliable, and respectful towards colleagues. Maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Open to positive change and innovation.
