As a Therapeutic Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting professional, therapeutic, and nurturing childcare practice. You will ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and relevant legislation, providing care, support, and supervision to children and young people. Your duties will include household tasks, promoting independent living skills, and fostering a therapeutic environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Registered Manager to provide guidance and management of therapeutic support workers to stay in line with Assist Care's Specialist Care's Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Deliver care, support, and supervision to children and young people.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment and work restoratively with children and young people.
- Implement consistent boundaries to create safety.
- Respect children's rights and work in an anti-discriminatory manner.
- Help develop a true sense of identity and self-worth for each child.
- Engage with and listen to children and young people, observing and recording their behaviour.
- Support integration into social activities and educational settings.
- Use reactive strategies to manage behaviour.
