Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced React Native Developer to join our growing team in the facilities management sector. You'll develop and maintain features for our mobile application, enabling clients to capture asset data efficiently and reliably. Our stack includes TypeScript, Firebase, Expo, React Navigation, Reanimated and Vision Camera, alongside other high-quality React Native libraries. You'll have opportunities to explore AI-driven enhancements and contribute to meaningful R&D projects that push the boundaries of spatial data solutions.

Responsibilities

Feature Development & Maintenance

  • Plan, design, and implement performant, user-friendly features using React Native and TypeScript.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders to iterate on features based on feedback.

Technical Contributions

  • Leverage Firebase to build scalable and secure functionality.
  • Ensure compatibility and optimised performance across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Contribute to AI-driven feature development and R&D initiatives, exploring innovative use cases for spatial data.

Team Collaboration & Growth

  • Participate in code reviews and engage in regular 1:1 mentorship.
  • Actively research ecosystem developments and advancements, sharing knowledge with others.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, with opportunities to take on leadership roles in feature development or cross-functional projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years of recent, continual experience with React Native in a professional software development environment.
  • Very strong communication skills. You must speak, write and be able to understand fluent English.
  • Deep knowledge and regular usage of Firebase suite, especially Firestore.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Familiarity with Expo, React Navigation, Reanimated and Vision Camera.
  • Understanding of mobile app development best practices, including release automation and performance optimisation.
  • You must enjoy constantly learning and researching to improve your level of expertise.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android).
  • A keen eye for design, accessibility and user experience best practices.
  • Accomplished in web development.
  • Experience with Sentry or similar application monitoring tools.
  • Computer Science or related technical degree.
  • Familiarity with 360 cameras or spatial data capture technologies.

Assessment Process

Selected candidates will undergo a two-stage interview process, including a short, take-home practical assessment.
