HOURS/DAYS (per week): Monday - Friday, office-based (hours tbc, likely 9am - 5pm)

As a firm of chartered accountants and finance specialists, they service a wide range of businesses varying in size, sector, and industry. They are seeking an experienced GP Accounts and Tax Manager to oversee financial management for General Practitioner (GP) clients. This role will involve managing/reviewing GP accounts, reviewing and submitting superannuation certificates, handling tax matters, advising clients on drawings and withdrawals, and submitting annual estimates on PCSE. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with excellent client advisory capabilities.
JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- They are seeking a team member who is experienced in handling NHS Pension Scheme requirements for their clients. The role will involve liaising with the NHS to obtain Annual Allowance Pension Savings Statements (AAPSS), reviewing and calculating Annual Allowance positions, and completing all associated RPPS reporting and compliance work.
- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations and internal quality standards.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve tax-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and complete working papers to support tax computations and filings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, manage expectations, and provide timely responses.
- Build strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Work effectively with UK and India teams to achieve objectives.
- Provide advice, problem-solving support, and training to colleagues on tax return processes.
- Be approachable and available to assist team members and clients.
- Use to-do lists and prioritisation techniques to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Respond promptly to emails and follow up on assigned work.
- Support process improvements for better client service delivery.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Seek guidance from the director when needed and work on building confidence.
- Contribute to team development and assist in onboarding/training colleagues.
