My client is a small to medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants with its Head Office in North London. With over 35 staff across their London offices and a large outsourced team internationally, they are looking to make key hires as they scale and serve their loyal client base to the highest standards. They value hard work, ambition, and passion, rewarding effort and dedication.

Job Roles/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will share the ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset of the owners, working to expand services and integrate new apps to support clients\’ needs. Experience in practice (preferably 3+ years) and familiarity with cloud software, especially Xero (certified preferred), is essential. The candidate should be a confident leader, enjoy networking and business development, be energetic, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized, and comfortable working to deadlines with strong IT skills.

  • Managing a diverse client portfolio including sole traders, limited companies, partnerships, and groups.
  • Reviewing work performed by junior team members.
  • Training and supporting new and existing team members.
  • Setting and monitoring goals to support business development.
  • Preparing management accounts for various clients.
  • Supporting Xero projects, including client training and system migrations, and automating processes where possible.
  • Experience with automation tools like Hubdoc, AutoEntry, Soldo, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Liaising with HMRC regarding VAT and CIS matters, and assisting team members with software and accounting queries.
  • Collaborating with partners to drive the business forward.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold ICAEW or ACCA qualification.
  • Proficient in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience in busy public practice (preferably 3+ years).
  • Certified with Xero preferred.
  • Unquestionable integrity, excellent communication skills.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills.
