Power BI Developer / PowerBI Developer – Data & Analytics Engineer – £45,000 – £55,000 – Remote-first / Hybrid Gloucester

Responsible for:

As a Power BI Developer / PowerBI Developer, your main role is to design, build, and maintain our client’s data infrastructure and analytical systems. You'll be instrumental in converting data into valuable insights, supporting informed decision-making across the business.

Your expertise in data engineering and analytics tools will be key as you collaborate with different teams to implement effective data solutions, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and security.

Power BI Developer / PowerBI Developer Essential Experience:

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data and/or business intelligence analysis.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies in alignment with business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Efficiently manage time and priorities to meet project deadlines and deliver on tasks.
  • A thorough understanding of data design principles, data security, data protection, and regulatory compliance.

Power BI Developer / PowerBI Developer Expected Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications e.g., MCSA in Cloud Platform, SQL BI Development, BI Reporting or Data Engineering with Azure
  • Expert in the use of PowerBI to create meaningful and aesthetically pleasing reporting and analytics.
  • Experience with Microsoft BI stack (T-SQL, SQL Server database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and PowerBI).
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL, commonly used in Azure data processing.
  • Use of Azure Data Factory for designing and managing ETL workflows.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and managing data solutions in Azure.
  • Use of Azure Logic Apps for workflow orchestration.
  • Ideally experience of Integration of data from external sources through Azure API Management and Azure Logic Apps.
