Our client is a global manufacturing business currently operating on SAP ECC and preparing for a transition to SAP S/4HANA. The company operates manufacturing and commercial facilities across the United States, Europe, Brazil, India, and China.
Position Summary: The ERP & Applications Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of the company’s enterprise systems, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA ERP and the broader enterprise application landscape. In addition to ERP leadership, the role will oversee key application capabilities including data, analytics, and AI initiatives, working closely with the Data & Analytics function to ensure enterprise systems enable better insights, automation, and decision-making across the organization. This role will manage internal resources and external partners to ensure enterprise platforms are stable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary IT leader responsible for the SAP S/4HANA ERP platform and related business processes.
- Support and lead ERP transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and process optimization.
- Maintain an enterprise applications roadmap aligned with business priorities and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide leadership and support for data, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities across enterprise applications.
- Partner with the Data & Analytics team to ensure enterprise platforms support advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, system integrators, and implementation partners.
- Oversee vendor performance, contracts, and service delivery to ensure strong outcomes for ERP and application initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and proven experience supporting or leading ERP implementation or transformation programs.
- Experience working across ERP modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Sales.
- Experience managing enterprise application portfolios beyond ERP is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting data, analytics, or AI-enabled initiatives is preferred.
- Experience working with external system integrators or implementation partners.
