An experienced insurance support specialist is sought to join a small, close-knit team of six, supporting a well-established insurance business with offices in Harpenden and at Lloyd's of London. This is a numbers-heavy role. A good chunk of the work involves processing figures — currency conversions, percentages, risk data — so you'll need to be comfortable with maths and have a methodical, organised approach. There's also some accounts processing involved alongside the core insurance administration.

What you'll be doing:

  • Entering new risks onto the CRM, working with figures, currencies and percentages
  • Producing insurance contracts in MS Word and issuing them to clients
  • Updating the CRM with payments and changes to risk information
  • Handling queries as they arise

What they're looking for:

  • Some background in insurance administration, policy processing or accounts would be ideal, but they're equally open to a graduate who's sharp with numbers and picks things up quickly.
  • You'll need to be confident using Word, Excel and MS Office generally.

The details:

  • Salary £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience; £25,000 for a graduate entry
  • Harpenden office, 100% on-site, Monday to Friday 9am–5.30pm
