Asset Partners is exclusively mandated by a globally recognised private equity platform to appoint a Vice President for its dedicated Climate Fund, based in London. The fund focuses on growth-oriented investments across energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, green mobility, and food and agriculture, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets. This is an opportunity to take real ownership across the full investment lifecycle—origination, execution, and exit—within a collaborative and mission-driven team at the forefront of climate and impact investing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution across all phases of the investment lifecycle, including diligence, structuring, financing, and closing.
- Serve as a key point of contact for deal intermediaries and external advisors; take responsibility for negotiating service provider mandates.
- Supervise direct reports (Associates and Analysts), ensuring the quality, clarity, and accuracy of outputs while effectively managing and delegating workloads.
- Lead comprehensive diligence processes (financial, commercial, ESG) with a structured and analytical approach.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and actively support value creation initiatives.
- Actively mentor and develop junior team members.
- Contribute to thought leadership on climate and sustainability investing.
- Participate in investor relations and fundraising efforts as needed.
Candidate Profile
- 2–7 years of experience in private equity or growth equity post-investment banking or management consulting, with demonstrable deal experience across the full investment lifecycle.
- Prior exposure to growth-oriented investing is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modelling and technical analytical capabilities.
- Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking.
- Ability to generate and articulate differentiated investment ideas.
- Comfortable leading processes and managing stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Experienced in managing and mentoring junior team members effectively.
- Affinity for and/or experience in climate investing or related thematic strategies.
- Strong academic track record from a top-tier university.
