Our client, a European Growth Equity / Private Equity fund specialising in investments in leading technology companies, is seeking an experienced VP / Principal to join their investment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to develop and execute investment strategies, and negotiate transactions with target companies.
  • Source and take the lead on investment opportunities.
  • Monitor portfolio financial performance and work closely with management teams to ensure strategic alignment and growth whilst driving value creation and operational excellence.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members across multiple roles.
  • Clear and structured path to partner within the firm.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of investment experience, ideally within growth equity or private equity, with a background in investment banking or consulting.
  • Strong experience within the technology sector is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage and guide junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and development.
  • Exceptional academic background (degree-level education in a relevant field) and a solid foundation of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a global, collaborative environment.
  • Extensive transaction experience gained within a top-tier growth equity or private equity firm.
  • Highly ambitious, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated, with strong judgment and the ability to anticipate the needs of the team.
