Asset Partners is currently mandated by a leading venture capital fund to appoint an Investment Associate / Senior Associate to join their team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of technology sectors globally, supporting investments from initial sourcing through to portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Idea generation & sourcing: Support proactive sourcing efforts and originate high-quality early stage investment opportunities
- Research & analysis: Develop deep sector insights and contribute to the formulation of investment theses
- Due diligence & execution: Support all stages of the investment process, including due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction execution
- Portfolio monitoring & reporting: Track portfolio company performance, prepare investor materials, and contribute to value creation initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2–6 years’ experience in venture capital, growth equity, or in an operational role, with prior experience in investment banking or consulting. We would also welcome candidates who have founded their own tech start-up.
- Skills: Strong financial analysis and modelling capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and sound commercial judgement
- Personal qualities: Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently; high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in early-stage investing
- Education: Strong academic background from a leading university (minimum 2:1). A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred
