AG has developed a diversified portfolio of large-scale industrial and commercial businesses and investments across multiple sectors, with specialisms including renewable energy, agri-food and prime real estate.
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join the team in London reporting to the Group Finance Director. This is a broad, hands-on role within a small finance team that operates as a shared service for the day-to-day finance operations of the portfolio companies within its remit. This position will be based in our Mayfair Head Office and requires on-site presence no less than 4 days per week.
Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end finance reporting for assigned portfolio companies.
- Lead internal commercial finance presentations to senior leadership, adopting a business partnering approach to aid strategic finance decision-making.
- Manage financial planning, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting for assigned portfolio entities, down to project level reporting and commercial analysis.
- Management of portfolio cost tracking systems, management accounting bookkeeping, reconciliations and day-to-day finance operations.
- In-depth financial analysis of existing and pipeline projects.
- Support the Global FD and Operations Manager with new systems and process implementation as the Group scales.
- In collaboration with internal teams, manage tax, audit and due diligence reporting processes.
- Oversight of Payments/Treasury function to ensure cashflows are effectively monitored and managed in accordance with budgets and forecasts.
- Support the Global FD and portfolio leadership on any strategic finance initiatives.
- Appropriate experience within an international, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and reporting requirements.
- Experience working within agri-food, property or renewable energy businesses considered a significant advantage.
- Experience working with a multi-currency approach with in-depth understanding of currency exchange and tax variance analysis.
- Advanced command of Excel financial modelling and reporting tools, such as PowerBI.
- Expert user of Oracle Netsuite preferred.
- Work carefully and conscientiously with good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy, able to think creatively and proactively in an agile and changing environment.
- Culturally aware, with the ability to work in a diverse environment in a collaborative manner.
