Are you a driven Business Development professional with experience in asset finance or leasing? Do you thrive on building partnerships, opening new doors, and being rewarded directly for your results? James George Recruitment is partnering with a well‑established, vendor‑driven Funder specialising in finance solutions for “soft” assets across sectors including catering equipment, commercial laundry, garage equipment, beauty and aesthetics, and related industries. Following a strong period of sustained growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Vendor Development Manager to expand and develop reseller, dealer and supplier relationships across the South East.

The Opportunity

This is a relationship‑led, new‑business focused role where your success is genuinely in your hands. While you may inherit some existing vendor relationships, this role requires real hunger to identify, approach and win new reseller partnerships. You’ll work for a financially secure Funder offering the stability of a strong basic salary — but with commission potential that rivals top‑performing brokerages. If you’re commercially sharp, proactive and confident engaging decision‑makers, this is an opportunity to significantly grow your earnings and career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow partnerships with resellers, suppliers and manufacturers
  • Identify and approach prospective dealer partners across target markets
  • Arrange and attend meetings with key decision‑makers
  • Work alongside senior management to develop tailored proposals and presentations
  • Understand partner needs and position finance solutions effectively
  • Handle objections professionally and negotiate to successful outcomes
  • Achieve and exceed new business targets
  • Analyse dealer performance and drive increased turnover
  • Continuously research and canvass for new reseller opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in asset finance / leasing sales
  • Ideally experience funding “soft” assets (catering, laundry, garage equipment, beauty, etc.)
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills
  • A proactive, self‑starting approach with genuine new‑business drive
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Candidates with vendor‑side experience and solid understanding of leasing are also encouraged to apply

Why Apply?

  • Competitive basic salary (£40–50k DOE)
  • Company car
  • Uncapped commission with strong earning potential
  • Supportive and commercially agile management team
  • A growing business with real opportunity for progression

If you’re ready to take ownership of your territory and be properly rewarded for your performance, we’d love to hear from you.
