New Leaf Search has partnered with a well-respected vendor and direct equipment corporate asset finance broker in its search for a Business Development Manager, Hard Assets.

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 plus benefits and OTE c£100,000.

Location: UK, Hertfordshire / NW London (Office).

The Role

This is a highly commercial business development role focused on originating and developing hard asset finance opportunities across the transport, logistics, construction and industrial sectors. You will engage directly with end-user customers, structure finance solutions and develop long-term client relationships while supporting wider cross-selling opportunities across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities across transport, logistics and industrial sectors
  • Build and execute strategic prospecting and networking activity
  • Generate hard asset finance opportunities including vehicles, plant and machinery
  • Conduct client meetings and site visits to assess funding requirements
  • Prepare finance proposals, credit papers and lender submissions
  • Manage finance applications through approval and completion stages
  • Identify and refer associated soft asset opportunities internally
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline, pipeline management and forecasting
  • Develop long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals

Candidate Profile:

  • 3–5 years’ experience within asset finance, business development or equipment finance
  • Strong knowledge of transport, logistics or industrial equipment sectors
  • Proven new business generation and relationship management capability
  • Strong understanding of leasing, hire purchase and refinancing structures
  • Commercially aware with strong negotiation and proposal skills
  • Ability to analyse financial information and structure funding solutions
  • Self-motivated, resilient and target-driven approach
  • Experience within broker, lender or equipment supplier environments advantageous

We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing. You will also require relevant IN-COUNTRY experience; without which, your application will NOT be considered.
