New Leaf Search is partnering with a leading European financial services organisation in its search for a Transport & Industrial Sales Manager.
This is a senior sales leadership opportunity with responsibility for delivering significant growth across the Transport, Industrial and Construction markets, encompassing manufacturer and dealer relationships.
You will lead and develop a sales team, shape and execute the commercial strategy and drive performance across new business volume, margin and return on equity. The role combines people leadership, strategic sales development and key partner management, working closely with Stocking, Asset Management, Credit and other specialist teams to deliver sustainable growth.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Define and communicate a clear sales strategy to deliver transformational growth.
- Coach and develop team members through structured training and regular feedback.
- Set objectives, monitor performance and manage delivery against agreed targets.
- Take responsibility for team sales volume, margin, return on equity and non-financial objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturer, dealer and other introducer partners.
- Ensure appropriate partner plans are established and regularly reviewed.
- Identify new market and business development opportunities across Transport, Industrial and Construction.
- Work alongside specialist teams to drive growth across stocking and retail finance.
- Develop the residual value proposition in conjunction with Asset Management.
- Oversee the credit assessment process and ensure transactions align with agreed risk appetite.
- Work collaboratively with Credit, Legal, Compliance and New Business to ensure effective delivery.
Person Specification:
- Strong sales leadership and people management experience.
- Proven experience within the Transport and Industrial Asset Finance markets.
- In-depth knowledge of Asset Finance and Leasing.
- Proven track record in sales and business development.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication, relationship management and stakeholder skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Able to assess commercial and portfolio risks and make informed decisions.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop others.
We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services, particularly in Asset Finance and Leasing. Relevant IN-COUNTRY experience is required; applications without it will not be considered.
