Excellent salary plus bonus and benefits. New Leaf Search has partnered with a leading European financial services group in its search for an AML Compliance Officer. Location: UK, Greater London / Surrey (Hybrid).

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading international asset finance organization as part of its Compliance function. Working within the AML Compliance team and reporting directly to the Deputy MLRO, you will play a key role in supporting the business's Anti Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Financing and Financial Crime obligations. This varied role offers exposure across customer due diligence, sanctions screening, periodic reviews, suspicious activity reporting and regulatory compliance within a well established financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) reviews
  • Perform World-Check, FORCES and media screening
  • Identify beneficial owners, PEPs, sanctions and adverse media risks
  • Support AML investigations and elevate higher risk cases where appropriate
  • Undertake periodic reviews of existing customers and counterparties
  • Maintain AML records, registers and compliance documentation
  • Assist with Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and regulatory reporting
  • Support AML policy updates, risk assessments and compliance monitoring
  • Produce AML management information and KPI reporting
  • Work closely with Sales, Risk and Compliance colleagues to ensure regulatory compliance

Candidate Profile

  • Experience within AML, Financial Crime or Compliance within Financial Services
  • Good understanding of AML, KYC, CDD and sanctions requirements
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and financial crime controls
  • Experience using tools such as World-Check, FORCES or similar desirable
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
