Salary range up to c£80,000 with uncapped commission, typically 20% of profit and monthly paid. Our client, a long‑established and highly successful broker currently lending over £100m a year, is hiring business development managers to drive new name partner or directly‑driven asset finance business.
We are receptive to candidates with either a soft or a hard asset background who wish to focus on either or both asset classes. This is an entirely new business role: you will not be given any customers but are expected to bring a portfolio of contacts and win new ones.
In return, our client offers superb back‑office service, a range of funders that can finance any type of asset and structure—from simple HP through finance lease and operating leases to loans—alongside ancillary products such as invoice finance and commercial mortgages for a total solution. Because of the diverse funding partners, any customer you find can be financed by one of their tier 1, 2 or 3 funders.
Your reward will be a market‑competitive base salary plus a totally uncapped commission plan, where, once you have covered your costs, you typically take 20% of the profit you generate. High performers at our client earn, in some cases, over £250,000 a year.
Candidate Profile
Ideally based in South England or Greater London, but application is welcome from elsewhere in the UK if you match the profile and bring the required skill set. You must be a genuine asset finance high achiever, willing to share proof of your successes (e.g., commission statements, P60s). You should also be able to discuss the actual customers you do business with now and the names of those you would target in the role.
