Salary range to £110,000 plus company car, excellent benefits and a very market competitive bonus scheme.

Our client, a leading financial services company for whom we have successfully sourced over 50 staff across the UK, Eire and Germany, are seeking an additional Business Development Director to join their highly successful team writing middle ticket business with brokers and professional introducers.

This role will involve you working closely with brokers to structure transactions to be acceptable, encompassing documentation, pricing, security, valuations, credit, receivables etc. Average transaction sizes are £1.5m but our client seeks a depth of competence and experience of deals in the £3m to £5m range and their mandate extends as far as transactions of £20m.

The position will inherit existing relationships but a requirement of the role is a willingness and ability to identify, prospect and win also new broker relationships that can introduce the size of transactions our clients seek.

To be successful in this position you must have the skills to look at a story book transaction and understand how to structure it to be acceptable to the customer, the broker and our client.

Candidate Profile

To apply for the position you must possess a rare combination of higher end middle / big ticket experience coupled with a record of successful business development in the c£3m plus deal space. Experience of working with lease brokers and a network of contacts to leverage is the ideal background, but if you have all the technical skills and deal size experience and are from a tier 1 bank asset finance background and can demonstrate you have the expertise to engage brokers at C level then we would also like to hear from you.
