James George Recruitment is working closely with an established Asset Finance funder that is looking to appoint an additional Credit Underwriter to join their Surrey-based team on a hybrid basis (2 days in the office and 3 days from home). This will initially be offered on a FTC so you will ideally be immediately available. We are keen to hear from B2B Credit Underwriters with at least 2 years’ Asset Finance underwriting experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidates will draft and present credit proposals, maintaining objective and independent judgement throughout the credit process while ensuring compliance with Credit Policy, guidelines, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform credit reviews and research industry and customer-related information for all new proposals and reviews of existing customers
- Conduct detailed analysis of company financials, including balance sheets, and make credit decisions up to £250,000
- Manage timelines for credit proposals and reviews in accordance with agreed SLAs
- Coordinate with colleagues across the Credit & Risk, Sales, and Operations teams
- Build, develop, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective introducers to maximise future business opportunities
- Assist in the production of underwriting management reports, including client exposures, asset concentration, and other ad hoc reporting requirements
