We are seeking an experienced Arrears & Portfolio Servicing Executive to join a growing Corporate Credit team. This role is responsible for the proactive management of borrower accounts across a diverse lending portfolio, with a particular focus on arrears management, collections, borrower servicing, and portfolio administration. Working closely with Credit, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams, you will play a key role in protecting portfolio performance, supporting borrowers, and ensuring the accurate administration of lending facilities throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor arrears positions across the corporate lending portfolio, maintaining accurate records of overdue balances and collection activities.
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to identify, escape, and resolve arrears cases in a timely manner.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of arrears management strategies and repayment arrangements.
- Produce regular arrears and portfolio performance reports for Credit, Finance, Risk, and senior management.
- Investigate and resolve borrower queries relating to payments, outstanding balances, settlements, and account status.
- Manage the day-to-day servicing of borrower facilities across the portfolio.
- Maintain and update borrower records and lending facilities within the Aspire loan management system.
- Prepare and issue borrower invoices, statements, settlement quotations, and fee notifications.
- Reconcile borrower payments and ensure the accurate allocation of funds to customer accounts.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding account issues.
- Support the full facility lifecycle, including amendments, restructures, extensions, renewals, and borrower changes within the loan management system.
- Ensure all servicing activities are completed in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service standards.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Credit Control, Collections, Accounts Receivable, Lending Operations, or Loan Servicing.
- Experience within Commercial Lending, Asset Finance, Structured Finance, Banking, Specialist Lending, or a related financial services environment.
- Proven track record managing arrears, delinquent accounts, and cash collection activities.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, collections processes, and borrower account management.
- Experience working closely with Credit and Risk teams to manage underperforming or overdue accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
- Confident using loan management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
